How do I use the Personal Shopper?
HopTheShops' "Personal Shopper" gives you the ability to create a personalized list of
favorite stores, those that you like to visit frequently. To add a store to your list, simply click
the "Add Site To My List" link located below to the store description. There is no limit to
the number of stores that you can add. The stores that you choose will appear in the drop-down box on
the top bar, called "Personal Shopper". Click the arrow on the right hand side of this box
to see your complete list of stores. Simply highlighting any store on the list will take you to their
website immediately.

How do I navigate through the stores?
HopTheShops groups its stores two different ways. First, we have stores grouped by category, such as
food, sporting goods, etc. Links to these categories are always displayed in the drop down box on the
top bar called "Item Categories". Click the arrow on the right hand side of this box to see
the complete list of store categories. Select a category by simply highlighting it and you will be
taken there immediately.
Stores are also grouped by Shopping Styles. Shoppers place stores together by common interest, such as
Health, Travel, Culture, etc. A list of our shoppers is always available on the top bar, in the drop
down box called "Shopping Styles". Click the arrow on the right hand side of this box to see
the complete list of shoppers. Select a shopper by highlighting it and you will immediately be taken
there.

Do I need to have cookies enabled?
Yes. HopTheShops uses cookies to identify you to our purchase tracking system. You must have cookies
enabled in order for this tracking to be accurate.

I made a purchase, but it's not listed in my account. Why?
There are four reasons this may occur:
- Your purchase information has not yet been entered into our database. We update these records
monthly, so allow up to 31 days for your account to show information about recent purchases.
- Your purchase was made from a store that DOES NOT pay rebates to your account.
HopTheShops indicates which stores pay a rebate by the phrase "Up to a X% rebate" in the
store description. We are working hard to increase the number of stores that pay rebates and hope
that in the near future 100% of our stores will pay rebates to our members.
- You did not log in to the HopTheShops or were logged in with cookies disabled on your computer.
In order for rebates to be earned you must be logged in to HopTheShops as per the procedure that you
agreed to when you accepted the terms and conditions for use of HopTheShops.
- The merchant failed to report your purchase. If you feel this is the case please send documented
proof of the disputed purchase to: HopTheShops, 16476 Chesterfield Airport Rd, 2nd Floor,
Chesterfield, MO 63017. We will investigate and should it be found that you followed the correct
procedure in making your purchase, HopTheShops will credit the rebate to your account.

How do you determine amount of my rebate?
HopTheShops is paid a commission on your purchase by the merchant. The amount of this commission varies
from merchant to merchant. Also, some merchants run "specials" during which their normal
commission is increased for a specific item or period of time.
HopTheShops determines the amount of your rebate by taking the merchant commission at the time of your
purchase and subtracting a 1 point administrative fee. For example, if the current merchant offer is 8%
of the item purchase price, you will receive 7% of the item purchase price as your rebate.

When do I get a payment from HopTheShops?
HopTheShops sends out rebate checks annually. If, at the end of the calendar year, your account has a
balance of at least $25 you will receive a rebate check. If your account has a balance of less than
$25, the amount will be held in your account and carried over to the next calendar year.

I have a favorite store that is not listed in HopTheShops. Can you add
it?

adding the store to HopTheShops, but cannot guarantee that we will be able to add the store as
requested.
